Dino Perera is a born and bred Brooklynite with a music career spanning of 20 years. Music was all around him and is apart of his DNA. His cousin Bobby Porter was a recording artist on Roulette Records. Another cousin Carl Moore started his own DJ business that he joined and began DJing with at the age of 13. After graduating high school he attended the New York Institute of Technology majoring in Communications & Business. He became the Assistant Music Director and Mix-Show DJ on his college radio station WTNY. After graduating with an Associate’s Degree a chance meeting with WBLS Radio Mix-Show DJ’s Merlin Bobb & Timmy Regisford. Both also worked at major record labels in A&R. He began hanging with them and followed their lead and built up a following in clubs and on the radio as a DJ.

This lead to him Djing at some of the tops clubs in New York and New Jersey and expanded his reach to play at several top clubs internationally in Berlin, Italy, etc. Building his skills at radio he later became the producer of the top ranked “Quiet Storm” hosted by legendary radio personality Vaughn Harper.

He later took a position at Polygram Records as an Account Service Representative. He kept that position for 6 weeks after being offered an A&R Assistants position in the Black Music Department of Atlantic Records. In that position he would closely with artists Levert, Gerald Levert, Miki Howard, En Vogue, Troop, MC Lyte, Audio Two, Das Efx, K – Solo, Roberta Flack, JJ Fad, Chuckii Booker, Gerald Albright, Art Madison, etc. He went on to work and consult at several other labels such as Bahia Entertainment/RCA Records, RCA Records Urban Music Division, Simitar Entertainment, etc. He has been involved with producing multi-platinum recordings, chart topping compilation CD’s and the sale of over 15 million records worldwide.

In his music career he has held positions such as A&R Assistant, Director of A&R, A&R Consultant, Vice-President of A&R, and Vice President of A&R/General Manager. In the radio field he has held positions such as Programming Assistant, Board Operator, Mix-Show DJ, Producer, and Music Director. He continues in radio as a Producer/Board Operator on top rated Clear Channel owned R&B/Hip-Hop radio station Power 105.
He has been with the station for 12 years.

He was a Senior Agent at Universal Attractions for 8 years. Universal Attractions is a booking agency in business for over 61 years.

He is now looking to take his career to the next level as CEO of his own Record Label, Talent Management, Talent Booking company, DINOCO Entertainment established in 2006.
